Our 1600 Hour Cosmetology Program is broken into six zones. A few highlights of each zone's curriculum:
Students enrolled in Penrose Academy's Cosmetology program will learn basic foundation of courses in, hair sculpting and cutting, shampooing, styling, anatomy, sanitation, and hygiene using Pivot Point International's world-renowned Designer's Approach-based curriculum. Advanced courses cover the methods and products involved in changing hair texture and color, skin therapy, nail care, and makeup application.
As the first and only Bumble and bumble University Partner School in the world, Penrose Academy cosmetology students learn exclusive cutting, color and styling methods and techniques developed by the forward-thinking New York based company. Using Bumble and bumble products in their hands-on training provides students with in-depth product knowledge and facilitates a seamless transition to the Student Salon.
All Penrose Academy Cosmetology students spend time in the Student Salon that includes 76 hair stations, 12 shampoo stations and a color bar interacting with and servicing guests in a real-world setting. The Student Salon is open to the public, and is an opportunity for students to practice their technical skills in hair and makeup.
